The Dracaena Draco plant gets its name from the Greek word ‘drákaina,’ which means female dragon.

This slow-growing plant is a succulent tropical tree native to the islands off the west coast of Africa. It takes about ten years to grow three feet in height.

It is a tough plant, making it comparatively easy to care for. It likes the shade, making it ideal for corners indoors that don't get much direct sunlight.

The Dracaena Draco plant can be grown both indoors and outdoors in the shade.

It requires minimal care.

Ideally it would like bright, indirect light. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight which can cause the leaves to burn.

Water it when the top few inches of the soil feels dry to the touch. Probably about once every 4 days. More in the hot months, less in the cooler, colder months.
