It's easy to care for when it's placed in the right light. Too much sun and its leaves will burn. Too little and it will show signs of distress.

It likes to be watered deeply but infrequently, approximately twice a week.

A quick check-in once or twice a month to cut off yellow leaves and stems will keep it in good shape. It's slightly prone to insect infection. Neem spray will prevent any kind of trouble.

The Peace Lily Plant or Spathiphyllum, was discovered in the 19th century in the Colombian jungle. We'd go as far as to say it's one of the top five most popular houseplants. The reasons people love this plant should be obvious. Great for beginners as it's simple to care for with easy to follow care instructions. It will also help filter the surrounding air of various toxins.

Peace lilies are not true lilies, but a member of the Araceae family that also includes colocasia, or elephant ear.

There are many types of peace lily within the genus. But in general, peace lilies have large, glossy, oval leaves. They typically bloom twice a year, resulting in several months of white flowers.

A beloved houseplant, peace lilies are renowned for their easy care. The peace lily is hardy, forgiving, and will even let you know when it is thirsty: Just look for the telltale droop.
